SNAP!™ Doesn't Find My Keypad System and Will Only Run in Demo Mode
SNAP! automatically detects when your Reply Mini, Worldwide, Mini+ or Plus keypad system is connected and operational. It will launch in demo mode when it does not detect your keypad system

Verify that you Base Station has Power

If SNAP! is not finding your keypad system, double-check that your keypad system base station is plugged into a working USB port on your computer, and that the base's red power LED or front panel display is lit.

If your base station power light is not lit, try plugging into another available USB port. If you are plugged into a USB hub device, make sure the hub is externally powered.

Check the Windows USB device connection to the base

  1. Right-click on the 'My Computer' icon on your desktop and select 'Properties'.

  2. Select the Hardware tab and click on 'Device Manager'.

  3. Click in the list on 'Universal Serial Bus Controllers' and verify that there is an entry (usually at the bottom of the list) for "USB Serial Converter".

  4. If have a Reply Mini or Worldwide system, you should also see an entry in the list under 'Ports (COM & LPT) for "USB Serial Port (COMx)". You will not see this entry is you are using Reply Plus or Mini+.

If Device Manager does not show the appropriate entry/entries for your system, try plugging your base into another available USB port.
