How Do I Determine My Windows Operating System Version and System Type?
Right-click on the computer icon on your desktop, or click the 'Start' button on your taskbar and right-click on "Computer" (or "My Computer"), and choose "Properties". Your Window version will be listed under "Windows edition" if you have Windows 7 or "System" if you have Windows XP. If you have Windows 7 your system type (32 or 64-bit Operating System) will be listed under "System".
